Fred Millender

I decided to write a post about one of my favorite people from Apalachicola Bay. I met Fred in February of 2006 while on a month long vacation on St. George Island. I had come down to try to jump start my photography which had been dormant for about 20 years. I actually didn't photograph Fred on this trip at all. I hadn't really discovered my love for people photography yet. Later in 2010 I really got to know Fred and we became best of friends. Little did I know we would only have about 4 years before he passed on March 17, 2014. I really hope these images allow you to see the man he was!
